University of Minnesota Crookston Student Michael McMahon, Saint Paul, MN, Member of Championship Wildlife Quiz Bowl Team

Michael McMahon, Saint Paul, MN, is a member of the University of Minnesota Crookston Wildlife Quiz Bowl Team who recently won the championship trophy at Student Conclave.

The University of Minnesota Crookston Wildlife Quiz Bowl Team, comprised of students Renee Tomala, a senior majoring in natural resources from Champlin, Minn.; Michael McMahon, a senior double majoring in aviation and natural resources from St. Paul, Minn.; Bailey Yliniemi, a freshman majoring in natural resources from Detroit Lakes, Minn.; and Megan Betcher, a senior majoring in natural resources from Red Wing, Minn., earned the championship trophy for the competition at the Student Conclave of the North Central Section of The Wildlife Society.

The conclave was held March 27-29 at the Audubon Center of the North Woods in Sandstone, Minn. The team from the U of M Crookston competed against teams from nine other universities representing eight Midwestern states (Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio, and Wisconsin). UMC's team won the competition with the last question against Michigan Tech.
