U of M Crookston's Mitchel Barthel, Monticello, MN, Recieves President's Volunteer Service Award at Annual Awards Recognition

The University of Minnesota Crookston announced students receiving the President's Volunteer Service Award for 2017 at their annual student awards celebration on Thursday, April 20, 2017.

The President's Volunteer Service Award is the premier volunteer awards program, encouraging citizens to live a life of service through presidential gratitude and national recognition. To learn more about this presitgious award, visit www.presidentialserviceawards.gov.

The President's Volunteer Service Award was presented by Lisa Loegering, assistant director for the Office of Community Engagement. The Student Volunteer of the Year was Bailey Ylieniemi and International Student Volunteers of the Year included Pratima Thapaliya and Tien Nguyen.
