The National Society of Leadership and Success promotes leadership by providing valuable resources. There are currently 491 chapters and 536,356 members nationwide and the University of Minnesota Crookston has had a chapter of the organization since 2010. Through membership, students, who must be invited by their college to join, gain valuable leadership skills, have opportunities to network, learn from experts, and plan for their future.

Among the various resources the Society provides is the opportunity to hear from speakers including celebrities, writers, show hosts, etc. This selection of speakers is part of the speaker broadcast series and recently featured Al Roker, Jessie Eisenberg, and John Leguizamo.

One of the featured speakers from the speaker series was John Maxwell, an author and leadership expert who coaches leaders, such as presidents of nations, executives of business, etc. He received the Mother Theresa Prize for Global Peace and Leadership. During his presentation, he talked about his book, Intentional Living, and how to influence others positively to change lives, by "living intentionally". He was energetic and always expressed how much he looked forward to speaking to college students.

The Success Networking Teams (SNTs) are also a valuable resource. Once a student becomes a lifetime member of NSLS, they are able to have some access to many tools including a onetime personalized letter of recommendation, scholarships, access to available jobs from places looking for NSLS members, speaker broadcasts, and many other leadership tools and resources to help members excel in the workforce.

Success Networking Teams are designed to help a leader to become successful in whatever it is they pursue or want to achieve. Through an SNT you create a goal, i.e., "take the GRE on November 5" or find an internship, or find a certain type of job position. There are various questions one must answer in order to complete an SNT. The questions include: What is your goal, what or how can you achieve the goal, what steps do you need to take, what is your timeline, what or how has your SNT group aided or helped you in choosing or guiding you with your goal, etc. These goals will aid each NSLS member in becoming successful in society, in school life, in the workforce, and wherever life takes them.

Members of the Crookston Chapter of the National Society of Leadership and Success Executive Board include
