Ryan Rynda one of 12 cast members in the spring production of The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon at the University of Minnesota Crookston.

The University of Minnesota Crookston Music-Theater Department is producing the two-act comedy "The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon" in Kiehle Auditorium on Wednesday and Thursday evenings, April 26 and 27, at 7 p.m. with a special weekend matinee on Sunday, April 30, at 3 p.m.

Admission to this family-friendly show is $5 for adults and $3 for children and students. Families of any size may attend a pay a maximum of $10, and all tickets are sold at the door. The show features all 209 Brothers Grimm stories in 90 minutes that includes Little Red Riding Hood, Snow White, Hansel and Gretel, and all the rest in a drastically abbreviated format. A cast of twelve U of M Crookston student actors play multiple parts in a frantic rush to get through all of them.

The cast includes Bailey Bradford, a post-secondary enrollment student from Mentor, Minn.; Diane Cilengi, a freshman from Brooklyn Park, Minn., majoring in health sciences; Raine Foy, a sophomore from majoring in animal science from Moorhead, Minn.; Shaylin Goodrich, a post-secondary enrollment student from Crookston, Minn.; Emma Howey, a sophomore from Rutland, N.D., majoring in equine science; Katie Jorschumb, a junior from Borup, Minn., majoring in equine science; Harshavardhan Praveen, a junior majoring in health sciences from Plymouth, Minn.; Allison Reinhart, a freshman from Crookston, Minn., majoring in communication; Ryan Rynda, a senior from Argyle, Minn., majoring in software engineering; Chris Schmiesing, a senior from Sauk Centre, Minn., majoring in software engineering; Skyler Siegel, a freshman from Wheaton, Minn., majoring in communication; Janica Stewart, a junior majoring in animal science from Thief River Falls, Minn.; and Gabrielle Kekke, a senior double majoring in early childhood education and elementary education from Argyle, Minn.
