Megan Schultz, Stillwater, Minn., Recognized for Outstanding Service in Student Government at the U of M Crookston

Students were recognized during the annual awards celebration at the University of Minnesota Crookston for their achievements. Several students were recognized for their service in the Crookston Student Association (CSA).

The Student Programmer Award was presented to Megan Schultz, a junior majoring in animal science from Stillwater, Minn. Schultz is the chairperson for Student Programming and Activities for Campus Entertainment (SPACE), which provides entertainment and educational activities for students.

Outstanding CSA Senator was presented to Skyler Siegel, a freshman majoring from Wheaton, Minn., majoring in communicaton. The Outstanding Senator is awarded to the Crookston Student Association student Senator who has gone above and beyond in the responsibilities of their role. The recipient is someone who volunteers to serve on committees, contributes significantly in meetings, and completes tasks proficiently.The award is selected by the Crookston Student Association Executive Board.

The Outstanding CSA Voting Delegate Award is given in memory of Karolyn Joop, a 1999 graduate of the U of M Crookston. The 2017 recipients of the Outstanding CSA Voting Delegate Award were seniors Baillee Hauser and Kary Sheppard.

Hauser is a senior from Raymond, Minn., majoring in health management and Sheppard is a senior majoring in exercise science and wellness from Grand Rapids, Minn.

The Outstanding Student Delegate is awarded a deserving club representative who attends Crookston Student Association Full Board Meetings on a regular basis. The recipient is someone who actively contributes in full board meetings, shares CSA Information with their club and shares club information with CSA, and has a positive attitude in meetings. The Award is selected by the Crookston Student Association Executive Board.
