MacKenzie Cochran, Grand Forks, ND, Recognized for outstanding achievement in horticulture at the U of M Crookston

Two students were presented awards in horticulture at the annual student awards celebration at the University of Minnesota Crookston. Students pursuing a bachelor of science degree in horticulture from the U of M Crookston are prepared for careers in the green industry.

MacKenzie Cochran was presented the Outstanding Horticulture Student Award. Cochran was presented the award by Rick Abrahamson, lecturer in horticulture in the Agriculture and Natural Resources Department.

Jace Rau recieved the Most Refined Horticulture Student Award, a brand new award this year. Rau was presented the award by Rick Abrahamson.

Both Rau, a junior, and Cochran, a senior, are from Grand, Forks, N.D.
