Logan Milligan from New York Mills, MN majoring in agricultural education, one of several recognized during Ag Arama 2017 festivities.

Royalty were crowned, students were recognized for achievement, and alumni gathered for the 42nd Annual Ag Arama at the University Teaching and Outreach Center at the University of Minnesota Crookston. This year's event was dedicated to Associate Professor Margot Rudstrom and the theme for the day was "Better in Boots."

The 2017 Ag Arama Royalty included Josh Lanasa, an ag systems management major from Sebeka, Minn.; Edward Olson, an animal science and equine science double major from Saint Peter, Minn.; Ryan Gunderson, an animal science major from Mora, Minn.; Prince Ryan Greenwaldt, an agricultural business major from Raymond, Minn.; King Aaron Bengtson, an agronomy major from Battle Lake, Minn.; Kamron Matejcek, an ag systems management major from Lakota, N.D.; Logan Milligan, an ag education major from New York Mills, Minn.; Derek Pratt,. an animal science major from Clarissa, Minn.; Hanna Ruckheim, an animal science major from Parkers Prairie, Minn.; Malia Martin, an animal science major from Appleton, Wis.; Selena Young, an equine science major from Plymouth, Minn.; Mazie Pini, an animal science major from Grayslake, Ill.; Princess Marta Dean, an agricultural business major from Dellwood, Minn.; Queen Anna Johnson, an ag education major from Sebeka, Minn.; Hannah Van Dyke, an animal science and equine science double major from Edgerton, N.D.; Anna Thiele, an animal science major from Maple Lake, Minn.; Madison Halvorson, and Becky Suchy an agricultural business and animal science double major from Parkers Prairie, Minn.

A senior from Battle Lake, Minn., was honored with the True Grit Award Aaron Bengtson, an agronomy major, was presented with this most coveted of all awards presented at Ag Arama. The True Grit Award is dedicated to Todd Opsahl, a student in 1973-74.

Junior Anna Johnson, an ag education major from Sebeka, Minn., was also honored with the 2017 Round Robin Showmanship Award.
