Alison Hughes, Janesville, Wis., inducted into Alpha Lambda Delta- First Year Honor Society at the University of Minnesota Crookston

Alpha Lambda Delta - First Year Honor Society held its induction ceremony on Sunday, May 1 at the University of Minnesota Crookston. There were 19 inducted into the Society and Chief Development Officer Brandy Chaffee was the guest speaker.

During the ceremony the new officers for 2016-17 were installed and the seniors were awarded their cords signifying their graduation. Seniors included Katelyn Rieland, Kaylin Beatty, Stephanie Lane, Tim Adeniyi, Kathryn Sheetz, Catherine Brown, Megan Betcher, and Alyssa Newburg

Eligibility for membership in Alpha Lambda Delta is based on a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better during the first term or year of college while a student is enrolled full-time. Achieving this high level of academic performance is an accomplishment that less than 20% of college freshmen reach.

Advisors for the group are Associate Professor Brian Dingmann and Josh Parrill from the Academic Success Center.
